Fourth death in Kerry road death tragedy

Fourth death now in Kerry road death tragedy

In relation to this morning’s fatal collision in Co Kerry a fourth person (male) has died in Kerry General Hospital as a result of injuries sustained, Gardai have just confirmed.  

 
Gardai in Killarney, Co. Kerry are investigating the single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 7.10am this morning, Wednesday August 25th 2010 on the N72 at Barraduff, Co Kerry (the main Killarney to Mallow road). Read more

Fine Gael calls time on rogue clampers

Rogue clamping companies will be stamped out under tough new laws published by Fine Gael Transport Spokesman Simon Coveney TD.

Fine Gael’s Vehicle Immobilisation Regulation Bill will make it illegal for a company to clamp a car, unless they are an approved company with an operating licence. Read more

‘Legal high’ ban welcomed in Fermanagh

Sinn Féin councillor for Erne West Phil Flanagan has welcomed an announcement by the British Home Office that any newly developed ‘legal highs’ will be temporarily banned for 12 months.

Mr Flanagan said: “This temporary ban will give the medical experts an opportunity to examine the effects of the drugs before a decision is made on whether the new drug should be permanently banned.

Finn Harps v Sligo Rovers (Match Arrangements)

The Finn Harps v Sligo Rovers game at Finn Park on Friday next, 27th August, will be strictly segregated for home and away supporters. 

Harps fans are asked to please enter the Ground by the Navenney Street entrance while Sligo Rovers supporters are requested to enter from Chestnut Road turnstiles only.

The Club would like to ask all those who regularly use the seated area to please come early to avoid disappointment.  Kick-off is at 8.00pm.
