It was a case of keeping the best to last as Finn Harps recorded their biggest win of the season by defeating Mervue United in their final game of the First Division campaign at FInn Park.
This result means that Harps finish in eighth spot – the same position as last year, although the points tally was seven better this time around.

The latest results from the Ipsos MRBI JNLR survey covering the period October 2009- September 2010 were released this week, showing mixed results for local radio station listenership in the North West.
Highland Radio in Donegal continues to be the most popular local radio station in the country.
The survey results indicate that 85% (-1) of the adult population was listening daily to a mix of national, regional, multi-city and local radio throughout the country.

Mary Harney, Minister for Health & Children
Just over 950 people in two hours signed letters today (Saturday 30 October) in Sligo’s O’Connell St inviting the Minister for Health, Mary Harney, to come to Sligo to explain her long-term plans for the region’s hospital and health services.

With the clocks set to go back this weekend, Fine Gael Front Bench TD David Stanton has called for summer time to be extended for at least an extra month, and possibly all year round.

Gardai in Carrigaline are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Waterpark, Carrigaline at approximately 5.30a.m. on the 30th October, 2010.
A 21 year old male in the vehicles, was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. He has been removed to Cork University Hospital.
The road is currently closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
