Gardai from Blanchardstown Detective, Drug and Task Force Units have launched an investigation following the discovery of 17 kilos of cocaine approx value €1.2million.
The Cocaine (subject to analysis) was discovered at approx 11am on the 16th March 2011 in a holdall bag in the rear of a 40ft container at a location in West Dublin. Gardai believe that the container only recently arrived into Ireland.
Gardai have made no arrest at this stage but investigations and forensic examinations are ongoing.

Jack Murray endorsed as Sinn Féin County Councillor for Inishowen
Inishowen Sinn Féin members have endorsed Jack Murray as Pádraig Mac Lochlainn’s replacement on Donegal County Council.
The position became vacant upon Pádraig mac Lochlainn’s successful election to the Dáil. Around 100 party members gathered in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel, Buncrana to ratify Jack to be coopted onto the council on Monday 21st.
