Family raise questions over Denis Donaldson murder

The family of IRA informer Denis Donaldson who was murdered in County Donegal in 2006 say they have serious concerns about the PSNI and Garda investigation into his death.

The former senior Sinn Fein official is believed to have been killed by the Real IRA in the remote setting of Glenties on April 4 2006.

His death came five months after he admitted being an informer for teh British within the republican movement.

Family members have now released a copy of a warning delivered by the PSNI to Mr Donaldson two days after the alleged Stormont  “spy ring”  case against Sinn Fein collapsed in December 2005. Read more

Health Minister welcomes Dental Council Code of Practice

The Minister for Health and Children, James Reilly, TD, today (11th April 2011) welcomed the publication by the Dental Council of a Code of Practice which requires dentists to display private fees from June 1st in a place where patients can view them before consultation.

The publication of this Code together with the guide on “Choosing a Dentist at Home or Abroad” and the “Scope of Practice” document  will be of benefit to the public and the profession alike in promoting transparency and competition.
