Donegal Pharmacist at National Pharmacy Conference

Eventovate receives significant VC backing with €700,000 investment

Sligo brothers Jonathan and Jason Ruane photographed on Dublin’s Samuel Beckett Bridge at the announcement that they have successfully concluded a significant seed-funding round, valued at €700,000 to support their start up business, Eventovate. Eventovate has developed a suite of pioneering cloud-based software for the hotel sector, to enable them to increase revenue and manage costs specifically around their weddings events.

Eventovate, an award-winning Irish start-up that has developed a suite of cloud-based software for the hotel sector has just completed a funding round of €700,000 to support its continued expansion.  This latest investment announcement represents one of the most significant seed-funding rounds in the emerging Irish cloud services market this year.  

Eventovate’s investment includes funding from Bank of Ireland Start-up and Emerging Sectors Equity Fund managed by Delta Partners; High Potential Start-up Funding from Enterprise Ireland; and funding from the AIB Seed Capital Fund managed by Dublin Business Innovation Centre. Read more

Donegal Devastation at death of 4-year-old

THE father of a four-year-old boy crushed to death outside his home heard the devastating news while away on business, writes Paddy Clancy.

Keith Cleary was overseas when the tragedy occurred yesterday evening.

His son Daniel was playing near the family home in Donegal when a thick steel door fell on him. The accident happened at Drumbar, near Donegal town when the door from a steel crater collapsed in a family workyard. Read more
