Kilkenny’s attempt to win a fifth All-Ireland hurling title in a row was stopped in its tracks by a determined Tipperary side at Croke Park, the national broadcaster RTE reported this evening. The 2009 beaten finalists made up for last year’s disappointment by ending the winning run of Brian Cody’s side in comprehensive fashion.

Changes to Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad

The Republic of Ireland Under-21s have been forced to make a number of changes to the squad ahead of Tuesday’s UEFA European Championship qualifier against Turkey.  But Killybegs man Seamie Coleman will pick up his 13th u-21 cap and is now one of the most experienced players at this level.
