Club Officers Course
Saturday 20th a Club Officer forum will take place in Deele College, Raphoe @ 9.30am-1pm, hosted by Comhairle Uladh. More details to follow on web.
Coaching Updates:
A coaching workshop entitled “Games To Develop Football From U.14 To Senior” will take place in Mc Cumhail Park next Monday evening at 7.15 p.m. Tutor will be Tony Scullion. All coaches of Youth and Adult teams are welcome to attend, also post primary teachers.
RE Go Games Presentation, 11th March
Representatives from Croke Park will visit Donegal on Thursday 11 th. March to meet and brief all clubs in the county on the recently launched Go Games initiative for U.8`s, U.10`s & U.12`s.
The briefing will take place in Jacksons Hotel Ballybofey at 8.00 p.m.
All clubs are urged to have the following personel in attendence;
1) Club Chairperson & Secretary or 2 Principal Officers.
2) Club Bord na nOg / Juvenille Section Chairperson & Secretary
3) Club Coaching Officer / Co-ordinator.
4) Mentor /s From The U.12 Team.
Any issues or concerns club members may have on the concept of Go Games can raise them at this forum. Go Games are applicable to Hurling & Football so dual clubs are advised to ensure the relevant personel are informed.

Gaelic Start Packs and FUNdamentals Pack
Ulster GAA launch pack to improve youth coachingUlster GAA have just launched their new ‘Gaelic Start and FUNdamental’s Pack’, which is aimed to improve coaching programmes for children up to nine years old. It can be used by club coaches, teachers and even parents. Speaking at the launch of the ‘Gaelic Start and FUNdamental’s Pack’ former Ulster GAA President Tom Daly said, “The new Gaelic Start & FUNdamental’s Pack is now ready for clubs, schools and parents. The pack contains over 300 coaching cards for children from infants to 9 years old. The aim of this resource is to help coaches, teachers and parents plan and implement an effective and efficient coaching programme for children of all abilities including those with special needs.”
The cards have been designed so they:
Can be used by ANYONE – children, teachers, parents and non coaching personnel
Support the developmental stages of all children regardless of ability
Offer a variety of progressive, challenging and fun activities – Warm ups, Games & Skills
Include activities that can be set up quickly & easily
Anyone wishing to get their hands on these popular packs should contact their County Games Manager or through Ulster GAA by contacting Bernie Fox on 028 3752 1900 or email bernie.mcglinchey.ulster@gaa.ie The ‘Gaelic Start and FUNdamental’s Pack’ costs €60/£55 for first pack and €50/£45 for each one thereafter.
Buncrana Cup
The final trial for the county U16 team (Buncrana Cup) will be held in Convoy on Saturday, March 13th at 2pm. All players are asked to be at the pitch no later than 1.30pm. Only those players who attended the previous trials and who have been asked by management should attend.
Clubs are responsible for getting their players to and from the trial. All enquires should be directed to Stephen Friel (087 6374431)
Next Monday the 15th of March, there will be an on-line registration for all clubs in Rossan College, Letterkenny at 7.30-9pm.
All clubs must send their registrar or another individual to do this course. Computers will be provided and officials from Croke Park will be in attendance to facilitate all club members. It is vital that clubs do this course so that Registration deadline of March 31st is met for the new on-line registration system.

Northern Board Young Whistlers Initative
All clubs participating in the U-10 and U-12 “Go- Games Blitzes” in the Northern Board this year must nominate 2 young people aged between the ages of 16 and 18 years old. These young whistlers will then be trained up to referee their own home blitzes. All names to be with regional secretary Jim Quinn by Wednesday March 10th or sumit names by e-mail : jquinnglenfin@eircom.net

Southern Board news
This is vital that all clubs co-operate
