The Mariners started the stonger in this game played in Kerrykeel but were unable to break the deadlock from the chances they created. Tullyvinney came back into the game as the first half wore on and took the lead before half time through a Benny Harkin strike. Neither side was able to add to the scoring for the remainder of the first half.

This game was played at the Crossroads Killygordon. It was Tullyvinney who started the stronger and on ten minutes they took the lead when Martin Alexander was upended in the box and Kevin Gilliespe scored from the spot .Then it was Ramelton who took over on twenty minutes they made it one each when Peter Brannigan scored from a header .

Glenree United 2-2 Kilmacrennan Celtic
In the penultimate game in the group, Kilmacrennan traveled to Glenree Park. Kilmacrennan took an early lead when a corner was taken short to Darren Mc Ginley on the edge of the area who unleashed a shot into the far corner with the Glenree keeper unsighted. As the half wore on both teams had the opportunities to score with Glenree looking the more likely.

Hope springs eternal they say and with a good thaw predicted at the end of the week, the following list of games are due to be played in the Donegal Junior football league next weekend, January 16th and 17th 2010.

This league cup game started off as an even contest but by the end of the first half Fintown had raced into a 5-0 lead thanks to goals from Raymond Toner after 10 minutes, followed by a hat-trick from Darragh Gallagher and a close range finish from Anthony Walsh.
