Busy times at Sligo Rovers

Despite talks with Derry City today over their managerial vacancy, after Stephen Kenny’s departure to Shamrock Rovers – Sligo Rovers manager Paul Cook is likely to stay at the Showgrounds – for now!.

Sligo have signed 12 players, including Ross Gaynor, for next season and it is felt that Cook will stay on at the Showgrounds with one year left on his current deal, sources have indicated.

Meanwhile former Sligo Rovers duo Richie Ryan and Eoin Doyle have signed for Dundee United and Hibernians respectively. Both were hugely influential at the Showgrounds and it remains to be seen what impact their departure will have.
