With only days before Donegal’s first competitive match in the Dr McKenna Cup this Sunday, comments made by Kevin Cassidy on TG4 have opened a small ray of light, which could potentially lead to a new marriage bertween himself and the Donegal team. 

However, while Cassy has said “never say never” about a possible return, the opinion of manager Jim McGuinness will ultimately decide the fate of Gweedore’s Cassy.

Meanwhile Donegal are hoping to test out some new blood over the competition, which they won in both 2009 and 2010 under then manager John Joe Doherty – the last Donegal man to life the McKenna Cup was ironically Kevin Cassidy.
