Fermanagh sisters abuse claims denied by priest

A 75-year-old priest who is accused of abusing three sisters at their Fermanagh home when children has said he never touched them in any indecent way.
Father Eugene Lewis, 75, denies 11 charges of assault between 1963 and 1973. The sisters have claimed that their suffering and abuse began when they were as young as seven years of age.
Omagh Crown Court was told that by the accussed that he had not committed any sexuial offences agaisnt them, “absolutely none”.
Late in the proceedings on Wednesday he added: “I never approached these girls with any sexual intent and I never abused them in anyway.”
The sisters have claimed that he often called at bedtime or on Saturday bath night and would indecently assault them while telling them bedtime stories.
The case continues.
