Most Bus Éireann services around the country are operating as per normal this morning with some delays and diversions in affected areas. The main commuter routes in the east and north east are operating this morning. Some town-to-town services in the north east are currently disrupted.

Donegal South West Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill has received confirmation that authorisation has now been given to re-introduce the Letterkenny to Strabane, Bus Éireann Service via the Glenmaquinn Road, Convoy and Raphoe.  This approval follows on-going representations by Senator O Domhnaill, he says.

Eurolines Service from Dublin to London this Evening

Bus Eireann has put in place additional coaches for its 7.30pm Eurolines Dublin (Busaras) – London service this evening to cater for people wishing to travel to the UK who have been disrupted by the volcanic ash.    The service uses the ferry and arrives in London city centre (Victoria Coach Station) at 8.30am tomorrow.

Bus Eireann, in conjunction with Stena Line and Irish Ferries, has put in place additional coaches for its 7.30pm Eurolines Dublin (Busaras) – London (city centre) service on Saturday (April 17 2010) and Sunday (April 18 2010) to cater for people wishing to travel to the UK who have been disrupted by the volcanic ash.
