A new Payments Recovery Assistance Programme has been launched by the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) for its Donegal member companies. The new scheme aims to help CIF members who, for whatever reasons, are experiencing difficulties getting paid for work carried out. The scale of the downturn in the economy and the difficulty in securing credit has left many companies in Donegal facing huge difficulties in securing payment for work carried out.
According to Martin Lang, Head of Contracts with the CIF, in the current market there is a need for a fast, efficient and cost effective scheme. “The requirement for such a scheme has never been greater”, he says. The Payment Recovery Assistance Programme has been specifically tailored to meet the current conditions that exist in the construction industry.
