Injured man was transferred from Sligo General Hospital
A 19-year-old man is being treated in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin after an incident outside a nightclub in Sligo town last night.
The man was transferred from Sligo General Hospital to Dublin overnight. He is said to be in a serious condition.
Another 19 year old was questioned in connection with the incident but no arrests have been made so far. Investigations are continuing.
The injured man was later taken from Sligo General Hospital to Dublin
Gardai in Sligo are investigating a serious assault that occurred at a walkway connecting Stevens Street car park and Rockwood Parade last night the 19th August.
A 49 year male was injured and was initally taken to Sligo general hospital but has since been taken to Beaumont Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
A technical examination has been completed and the areas has reopened.

Sligo assault - Investigations continue
A man in his 40s has been taken to hospital following a serious assault in Sligo town last night. He was later transferred to Dublin.
A garda spokesman said the man was discovered suffering from head injuries shortly after 9pm last night in the Rockwell area of the town.
He was taken to Sligo General Hospital but later transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin where his condition is described as stable.
Investigations are ongoing into the incident.
Serious assault in Sligo - Man dies from injuries
Garda in Sligo investigating the serious assault that occurred on Thursday morning 6th August, 2010 in the Cartron Point area of Sligo have confirmed that the 60 year old man passed away this afternoon in Sligo General Hospital.
The office of the State Pathologist has been advised and the post mortem is scheduled to take place today 9th August, 2010 at Sligo General Hospital.The first man arrested was released from custody and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. The second man is still in custody in Manorhamilton Garda Station.
2nd arrest in Sligo
A second man (29 yrs) was arrested in Sligo this evening 7th August 2010 in connection with a serious assault which occurred in the Cartron Point area of Sligo on Thursday morning 6th August, 2010.
He is being detained in Manorhamilton Garda station under the provisions of sec 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended.
The first male is still in custody in Ballymote. The injured party remains in a critical condition in Sligo General Hospital.
Serious assault in Sligo
Gardai in Sligo are investigating all the circumstances of a serious assault which occured in the Cartron Point area of Sligo on Thursday morning 6th August, 2010.
A 60 year old man was seriously assaulted and subsequently removed to Sligo General Hospital where his is being treated for his injuries which are described as critical.
A male aged 28 years was arrested in Sligo town last night 6th August, 2010 and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Ballymote Garda Station.
